Giving

For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

- Matthew 6:21

Why we give.

God is generous and so he calls us to be as well.  What we do with what God has given us shows the world where our hearts are at and helps proclaim the gospel. We want to glorify God with every area of our lives, and that includes what we do with our finances.

Q: What is a Tithe?

A tithe is 10% returned to theLord. It is returning the first fruits of your increase. The tithe, or the 'tenth', belongs to the Lord and is the key to your being blessed. (Example: If you receive a $500.00 paycheck, the tithe is 10%, or$50.00.

Proverbs 3:9-10 says, "Honor the Lord with your possessions and with the first fruits of all your increase; so your barns will be fille with plenty, and your vats will overflow with new wine."

Leviticus 27:30 says, "And all the tithe of the land, whether the seed of the land or the fruit of the tree, is the LORD's. It is holy to the LORD."

We are called to tithe to the Lord the first of our increase. This is the only command that God gives in which He says, "Test me in this." (Malachi 3:10)
"Tithing is the open door to the blessing that God set forth that's going to meet your needs, give you what you need, bless you, keep you well, keep you prosperous. Our tithing opens that door for God to move supernaturally. Tithing keeps the door open when you do it in faith. Now you can tithe in unbelief and it's not the same. But, when you tithe in faith, you worship God with your tithe." -Gloria Copeland

Pour Out of Blessings

When we tithe, the word says, " I will open the for you the windows of heaven and pout out for you a blessing until it overflows." (Malachi 3:10)

Rebuke the Devourer

When we tithe, the word says, "I will rebuke the devourer for you, so that it will not destroy the fruits of the ground; nor will your vine in the field cast its grapes." (Malachi 3:11)

You Will Be Called Blessed

When we tithe, the word says, "All the nations will call you blessed, for you shall be a delightful land." (Malachi 3:12)
