WOMEN'S ministry

(A.L.I.V.E)

Years ago, Judy Hadsell was given a word from The Lord that she would be teaching and training women, just as she had for children. It had been her heart to speak into the lives of women of all ages. As she and Pastor Hadsell moved from one ministry assignment to the next, God continued to birth in her heart MINISTRY to WOMEN in all seasons of their lives. She began "Women of Excellence" and began to do what The Lord had spoken to her. For many years, she spoke into the lives of women in all seasons, building them up in Christ Jesus. Pastor Judy graduated to glory in January 2017, but we continue to carry on what the Lord has started.

At Hopeton Church we have gone through seasons of ministry to women, now we find ourselves yet in another NEW SEASON.  We have prayerfully decided to rename our Women's Ministry group "A.L.I.V.E," which stands for "Amazing Ladies Imparting Victory and Encouragement." HOWEVER, the message of the Ministry to women has not changed, but we feel and sense with each of you it’s on a new course of DESIRE AND PURPOSE.

GOD is bringing together the generations to minister to one another.  He needs each of you, He wants each of you to stretch and not strive. We desire that you grow and abound in all that He has called you to. We want you to know that you are NOT alone in any area of your life. Join us on the fourth Tuesday of each month.

1 Timothy 5:1-2 ESV

Do not rebuke an older woman but encourage her as you would a mother, younger women as sisters, in all purity.

1 Timothy 5:1-2 MSG

Reverently honor an older woman as you would your mother, and the younger women as sisters.

Titus 2:1-6 MSG

Your job is to speak out on the things that make for solid doctrine. Guide older women into lives of reverence so they end up as neither gossips nor drunks, but models of goodness. By looking at them, the younger women will know how to love their husbands and children, be virtuous and pure, keep a good house, and be good wives. We don’t want anyone looking down on God’s Message because of their behavior.

Titus 2:1, 3-5, 7-8 ESV

But as for you, teach what accords with sound doctrine.  Older women likewise are to be reverent in behavior, not slanderers or slaves to much wine. They are to teach what is good, and so train the young women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled, pure, working at home, kind, and submissive to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be reviled.  Show yourself in all respects to be a model of good works, and in your teaching show integrity, dignity, and sound speech that cannot be condemned, so that an opponent may be put to shame, having nothing evil to say about us.

Titus 2:3-5 ESV

Older women likewise are to be reverent in behavior, not slanderers or slaves to much wine. They are to teach what is good, and so train the young women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled, pure, working at home, kind, and submissive to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be reviled.

Proverbs 31:29-31 ESV

“Many women have done excellently, but you surpass them all.” Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. Give her of the fruit of her hands, and let her works praise her in the gates.
